SimVentions Sponsored Dinner in Conjunction with Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Council (MAC)
On December 5th, SimVentions sponsored a special dinner event organized by the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Council (MAC). This event featured a live Skype video call from Afghanistan with Colonel Paul Roberts, USA, Commandant of the Counterinsurgency Training Center. COL Roberts provided a briefing on the current threat situation in Afghanistan and surrounding countries and the morale of the warfighters. He also took questions from the audience. The keynote speaker that evening was Brigadier General Frank Kelley, USMC, who is currently the Commander of the Marine Corps Systems Command. BGen Kelley emphasized the role of small business in contracting with the Marine Corps.
The MAC holds many events throughout the year and composed of a group of organizations and individuals in our region who work in some way with the Department of Defense. Bob Duffy and Hart Rutherford have held leadership positions in the organization in the past.
